Many colleges do have nutrition classes, although they are not necessarily required. Oftentimes the Student Health services has programming about nutrition and has a nutritionist/dietitian that students can speak too.I think elementary schools and hs have an obligation but not colleges. Schools have been wasting their resources teaching too much crap, such as sex education, handing out condoms, and other useless curricula.

The job of the schools should be to teach only those traditional core subjects that will enable a person to function in society. Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Geography, Social Studies, etc.

Let the parents exercise what should be THEIR responsibility and teach their overweight offspring proper nutrition. In my opinion, NO! Schools have been wasting their resources teaching too much crap, such as sex education, handing out condoms, and other useless curricula.
